The Abilene Hunger Coalition was created in 2018 as a group of communities to collaborate together to fight hunger in Abilene, Texas.

Established: 2018
Geographic Focus: Taylor County and the 13-surrounding counties
Leadership Structure: Integrated, shared leadership - facilitation rotates between the representatives of member organizations to provide guidance, support, and strategic direction during coalition meetings. (Integrated Leadership Structure)

The Abilene Hunger Coalition shifts the Free Summer Meals Program to curbside operations amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, doubling the total number of meals served from the previous summer.
